In order to further standardize the development of power industry standards, on July 18, the group standardization development seminar and standard writing training meeting was held in Xi 'an Tianyi New Business Hotel. Wang Zhihua from China Electrotechnical Society, Dai Yongran from Xi 'an Huachao Electric Power Group Co., LTD., Ma Feifei from Ningxia Electric Power Research Institute, and Qiu Daqiang from UHV DC Center of Sichuan Electric Power Company of State Grid attended the meeting. The main content of this meeting is the discussion on the special standard of HVDC transmission equipment. President Dai Yongran Dai of Huachao Power Group Co., Ltd. proposed the standard proposal of "HVDC converter valve absorption protection Capacitor".

Huachao Power Group, together with Tsinghua Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute, State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute, Xi 'an High Voltage Electrical Apparatus Research Institute, Xi 'an Xinjurong Capacitor Research Institute Co., Ltd. and other scientific research institutions to carry out relevant technical research, summed up the experience and lessons of domestic failure, and successfully developed a dry full-film foil damping absorber capacitor.

Through technical demonstration, application cases and a series of experiments, it is concluded that the new all-film foil damping absorption capacitor fundamentally solves the problems of capacity attenuation, combustion and explosion of metallized capacitors, and has good resistance to large current impact and long life, which can meet the 40-year service life requirements of converter valve damping absorption capacitors. The product has successfully broken the technical barriers of foreign manufacturers, and can save 50% of the cost after production, and the economic benefits are significant, greatly improving the stability of the operation of the DC transmission system.
